CRISP DC Workshop

Hands-On Training in Health Information Exchange (HIE)

Our CRISP DC Workshop provides hands-on, instructor-led training in navigating the District of Columbia’s official Health Information Exchange (HIE), CRISP DC. This workshop is designed to help learners understand how to access, interpret, and apply clinical data to support better care coordination, population health management, and patient engagement.

Through a combination of live tutorials and self-paced resources, participants will explore core CRISP tools such as the Clinical Query Portal, Encounter Notification System (ENS), and care coordination dashboards. You’ll learn how healthcare providers and support staff use these tools to make informed, timely decisions and improve patient outcomes.

What you’ll gain:

  • Practical experience accessing and navigating CRISP DC

  • An understanding of how HIEs support real-time data sharing across providers

  • Skills to support care teams in clinical and community health settings

  • Confidence in using health data responsibly and effectively

This workshop is ideal for Community Health Workers, care coordinators, students, and healthcare professionals interested in digital health tools and data-driven care.

Whether you’re new to health IT or looking to sharpen your skills, this workshop offers a fast and focused way to build your expertise with one of DC’s most essential health data platforms.
